Good Morning Arizona

We spent all last week in the HOT Phoenix sun looking at cheap foreclosures. After two days of walking through un-air conditioned houses and looking at more pavement and cement brick walls than I have seen in a long time, we got up before sunrise and took a drive though the Usery Mountain Recreation Area east of Mesa. We enjoyed a beautiful Arizona sunrise.

The Salmonfly hatch is just about over on the Henry’s Fork river outside of Ashton. Every May and June the trout gorge themselves on these flies. If fly fishermen catch the hatch just right, they can have a some of the best dry fly fishing in the country.

Here are a few fly fishing web-sites and blogs from the Henry's Fork area.

Beauty and Loveliness

Revere Beach sand sculptures

When we are delighted with flowery meadows and gentle breezes of wind, we may consider that we only see the emanations of the sweet benevolence of Jesus Christ; when we behold the fragrant rose and lily, we see his love and purity. So the green trees and fields, and singing of birds, are emanations of his infinite joy and benignity; the easiness and naturalness of trees and vines are shadows of his infinite beauty and loveliness; the crystal rivers and murmuring streams have footsteps of his sweet grace and bounty.
Jonathan Edwards 1703-1758
